AutoLL Setup

What is AutoLL?

AutoLL is an unofficial client for using Lightning Lane Multi Pass and virtual queues at Walt Disney World. It adds two things to what it is built on: Autopilot, which watches a set of attractions through the day and can book, move or swap only the ones you have individually armed; and NextLL, a focused search for one attraction right now.

AutoLL is a modified version of BG1 by Joel Bruick, merged onto jgeurts/bg1. It is free software under the GNU GPL v3. The source for the build served from this site is available on GitHub; the original is joelface/bg1.

Why does this exist?

BG1 refreshes when you tap refresh. That works when you are standing still with a phone in your hand, and not when a Lightning Lane drops while you are on a ride. AutoLL watches for you, alerts you, and — only if you arm it — books.

How does it work?

AutoLL works by loading JavaScript code into your Web browser in a way that allows it to make the same network requests that the official apps use for accessing these services.

How can I try it?

There are two different ways to install and use AutoLL: the original bookmarklet method and a newer userscript method. The benefit of the userscript method is that it will automatically load the AutoLL interface for you, as opposed to the manual activation required when you install AutoLL as a bookmarklet. However, it requires installing a Web browser extension (and, in the case of Android, the Firefox browser) to enable support for userscripts. Choose whichever method you're more comfortable with.

iPhone Installation

Bookmarklet Setup

This installation method involves creating a bookmarklet, which is a bookmark that contains JavaScript code instead of a Web address. For a visual tutorial of the setup process, watch the BG1 Setup Guide on YouTube — it is the original project's video, so it says BG1 throughout, but the steps are the same.

Creating the bookmarklet

  1. Copy the bookmarklet code:
  2. If the bottom toolbar of Safari isn't already visible, tap at the bottom edge of the screen to bring it up.
  3. Tap the share button (box with upward arrow) in the bottom toolbar, select Add to Favorites, and then save the bookmark.
  4. Tap in the address bar to bring up your Favorites and find the AutoLL Bookmarklet favorite.
  5. Tap and hold on AutoLL Bookmarklet and select Edit from the menu.
  6. Replace the existing text in the address/URL field with the bookmarklet code you copied in Step 1 and save the bookmark.

Using the bookmarklet

  1. Open a new tab and tap on AutoLL Bookmarklet in your Favorites. This will load the AutoLL Start page.
  2. Select the service you wish to use.
  3. The page that loads will just have some code on it. To load the AutoLL interface, tap on the address bar to bring up your Favorites and tap on AutoLL Bookmarklet again.
Userscript Setup

Note: These instructions are for iOS 18. Check to see if your phone needs to be updated before installing AutoLL.

Installing the Userscripts app

  1. Install Userscripts from the App Store.
  2. Open the UserScripts app. You don't need to do anything in the app. It just needs to be opened once before the Safari extension will work.
  3. Go into the Settings app, type extensions into the search box at the top, and tap on the first suggestion (or go to Apps → Safari → Extensions).
  4. Under Allow These Extensions, tap on Userscripts.
  5. Enable the Allow Extension setting, and under Permissions, set Other Websites to Allow.

Installing the AutoLL userscript

  1. If you already have the BG1 Autoloader installed, remove it first. AutoLL's autoloader is a separate script, not an update to it, so leaving both installed makes two of them fight over the same pages.
  2. Close Safari (instructions) and reopen it.
  3. Follow this link (opens in new tab) to open the AutoLL autoloader userscript.
  4. Tap the puzzle piece icon on the left side of the address bar and then tap on Userscripts in the menu that pops up.
  5. The Userscripts extension will detect the AutoLL userscript. Tap the "Tap to install" link, then scroll to the bottom of the userscript details page and tap the Install button.

Bookmarking the AutoLL Start page

  1. Go to the AutoLL Start page.
  2. Tap the share button (box with upward-pointing arrow) in the Safari toolbar and select Add to Favorites.

Now you're all set! To use AutoLL, just go to the AutoLL Start page and select the service you want to use.

Android Installation

Bookmarklet Setup (Chrome)

This installation method involves creating a bookmarklet, which is a bookmark that contains JavaScript code instead of a Web address. For a visual tutorial of the setup process, watch the BG1 Setup Guide on YouTube — it is the original project's video, so it says BG1 throughout, but the steps are the same.

Please note that these instructions are only for the Chrome browser on Android. AutoLL cannot be installed in the Samsung Internet Browser, as it no longer allows bookmarklets. If you wish to avoid using Chrome, you can set up AutoLL in Firefox via the userscript method.

Creating the bookmarklet

  1. Copy the bookmarklet code:
  2. Bookmark this page by tapping the three dots in the toolbar and then tapping the star icon in the menu.
  3. Open the three dots menu again and tap the star icon again to edit the bookmark you just created.
  4. Replace the existing text in the address/URL field with the bookmarklet code you copied in Step 1 and save the bookmark.
  5. Also bookmark the AutoLL Start page. You'll need to go there first each time before you use the bookmarklet.

Using the bookmarklet

  1. Search for AutoLL Start in the Chrome address bar to go to the AutoLL Start page.
  2. Select the service you wish to use.
  3. The page that loads will just have some code on it. To load the AutoLL interface, search for AutoLL Bookmarklet in the Chrome address bar.
Userscript Setup (Firefox)

Firefox on Android (download from Google Play Store) offers the easiest method for running AutoLL. Even if you don't want to use it as your regular Web browser, it may be worth installing Firefox just for the added convenience when using AutoLL.

Adding the AutoLL Start shortcut to the Firefox homepage

  1. In Firefox, go to the AutoLL Start page.
  2. Tap the three dots menu in the toolbar and then tap Add to shortcuts.

Installing the AutoLL autoloader userscript

  1. If you already have the BG1 Autoloader installed, remove it first. AutoLL's autoloader is a separate script, not an update to it, so leaving both installed makes two of them fight over the same pages.
  2. In Firefox, go to the Tampermonkey Firefox extension page and tap the Add to Firefox button. Follow the prompt to install the extension.
  3. Tap the Install AutoLL Autoloader button below to install the userscript in Tampermonkey. Tampermonkey will display information about the script and ask for confirmation that you wish to install it.

That's it! To use AutoLL, just go to the AutoLL Start page and select the service you want to use.

Questions of Varying Frequency

Why is it not working? All I see is a page of "code".

As I mentioned in the instructions above, tapping a button on the AutoLL Start page doesn't load AutoLL on its own. It just takes you to the page you need to be on for the bookmarklet to work. The AutoLL interface will only appear after you've run the bookmarklet on the "code" page.

If it still isn't working, here are some other troubleshooting tips:

  • Make sure you're carefully following the instructions for the specific phone/browser combination you're using.
  • Try a different connection. Switch to mobile data if you're currently using Wi-Fi, or vice versa.
  • If using a VPN, try disabling it.
  • If it isn't working in a private browser tab, try running it in a normal tab.
  • Go into your Web browser's settings and delete the browsing data/cookies. This option is usually listed under the Privacy/Security category.
How do I get a Lightning Lane for rides like Rise of the Resistance or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train?

Only Lightning Lane Multi Pass attractions can be booked through AutoLL (and only after you've purchased Multi Pass through the official Disney park app). Lightning Lane Single Pass attractions cannot be purchased through AutoLL.

Why does AutoLL make me sign into my Disney account?

To be able to make the authenticated requests required to communicate with Disney's servers, AutoLL needs an access token obtained by signing into your Disney account. This access token, which is only valid for a 24 hour period, is stored locally on your device along with its expiration date and an ID used by the Lightning Lane API. No other Disney account-related data is stored, and none of it is ever transmitted to any non-Disney server.

Although AutoLL cannot see your password, you may choose to log in using a confirmation code that is texted/emailed to you by tapping the "Need help signing in?" link on the login page.

You'll receive an automated email from Disney every time you sign in, just like when you log into the Disney app or website on a new device.
